LET’S WORK TOGETHER

Writing is a journey—one that requires creativity, commitment, and the right kind of support. Whether you're drafting or refining a manuscript, I offer personalized guidance to help you build confidence, deepen your craft, and bring your vision to life.

I work with women writers of literary fiction, upmarket fiction, women’s fiction, historical fiction, magical realism, and creative nonfiction. From big-picture storytelling to refining your voice, my feedback is tailored to your genre, audience, and creative vision.

  • You’ve taken your manuscript as far as you can on your own, and now you’re ready for insightful feedback to help you identify existing strengths and opportunities as you craft a clear, intentional revision plan.

Whether you’re writing fiction or creative nonfiction, a manuscript evaluation provides a deep analysis of your draft, helping you understand what’s working, where readers might disengage, and how to strengthen your story.

Note: A manuscript evaluation focuses on big-picture storytelling and writing craft—it is not copyediting or proofreading. However, if you need those services too, I can provide guidance, links to directories, and recommendations of trusted colleagues.

    What’s Included:

    • Discovery Call: A free 30-minute consultation to discuss your book and goals.

    • A 5–10 page editorial report covering key storytelling elements like plot, character development, pacing, scene dynamics, voice, and narrative flow.

    • Select in-text comments to illustrate feedback directly in your manuscript.

    • An analysis of what’s already working well and opportunities for further refinement.

    • A 60-minute consultation to discuss the evaluation, plus a 30-minute follow-up to support your next steps.

Rates start at $0.01 per word.

  • For fiction writers at any stage—whether you're shaping an idea, stuck in the messy middle, or refining a draft—you deserve guidance that supports both your craft and creative confidence. Whether you write literary fiction, upmarket fiction, women’s fiction, historical fiction, or magical realism, I’ll help you:

    • Develop your novel’s core themes, structure, and direction.

    • Push through challenges and deepen your storytelling.

    • Strengthen your plot, character arcs, pacing, scene dynamics, and dialogue.

    • Elevate your writing craft—from sentence-level prose to narrative flow.

“After I wrote my first novel, I was anxious to get feedback. Trinity supplied it in numerous ways; through a highly detailed breakdown of my story, suggestions, summaries, and using her knowledge of storyline and character development. Her skill as a developmental editor was obvious from the start but she is also eager to assist with creative or writing practices, to speak with you about your goals and habits. Most of all, I feel absolutely lucky to be able to speak to her about my work. She cares about my story and wants it to succeed.”

FAQs

  • In addition to being a trained editor, I’m a certified professional coach specializing in personal development and creative growth. My coaching helps writers move through blocks, expand their perspectives, and build a creative practice that feels both fulfilling and sustainable.

I follow the International Coaching Federation’s Code of Ethics and see coaching as a collaborative, client-led process. You already have the answers inside you—my role is to help you uncover them through deep listening, thoughtful questions, and intuitive observations.

Your writing journey is yours to shape. The agenda, goals, and outcomes are in your hands. I won’t impose my views, but I will help you gain clarity, recognize patterns, and trust your creative instincts—so you can write with confidence and intention.

  • Coaching
At Verve Creativity Lab, I work with women and non-binary writers because I believe in amplifying voices that haven’t always been welcomed or valued in literary spaces. Every writer brings a lifetime of experiences and identities to their creative journey. My role is to honor who you are by offering a nonjudgmental, nurturing space where you can explore, take risks, and write with confidence.

    Editing
Writing isn’t just about clarity and concision—it’s about impact. How your words land matters.

As an editor, I act as a bridge between writer and reader. That means I go beyond structure and craft to flag anything that might unintentionally exclude, misrepresent, or distance your audience. My goal isn’t to change your voice—it’s to help you communicate your truth in a way that resonates, invites, and connects.

  • Step 1 Sharing Your Pages
Before each session, you’ll send me your pages via email or upload them to a shared drive on a mutually agreed-upon date.

Step 2 My Review & Feedback
I’ll read your pages, adding light margin notes via Track Changes. Then, I’ll draft a short editorial report highlighting what’s working well and opportunities to explore. You’ll have time to review these before we meet.

    Step 3Coaching Session
We’ll meet via phone or video to discuss my feedback, answer your questions, and explore mindset shifts. You’ll set your next goals and define your accountability plan.

    Step 4Between Sessions
I’ll send you any requested resources and provide light email support for quick questions and encouragement.

  • Graphic descriptions of violence affect me deeply and tend to stay with me long after I’ve read them. Because of this, I choose not to work on manuscripts that include graphic or gratuitous violence, explicit depictions of sexual violence, any form of child abuse or sexual assault, or domestic/partner abuse.

That said, I know that trauma is often explored and processed through storytelling—and I do love a good murder mystery. Depending on how a difficult theme is handled, I may be open to working with it. If you're unsure whether your manuscript fits within my boundaries, I’m happy to have a conversation.

  • The process is the same for all services:

    Step 1 – Pre-Call Questionnaire
Before our discovery call, you’ll fill out a short questionnaire about your project, audience, where you are in the process, and the kind of support you’re looking for.

    Step 2 – Discovery Call
We’ll meet via phone or video to get to know each other, discuss your goals, and determine if we’re a good fit.

Step 3 – Sample Feedback (Optional)
If you'd like, I can provide sample feedback on three double-spaced pages (12 pt font, up to 900 words). If your book is complete, I recommend submitting your first three pages for review.

    Step 4Getting Started
If you decide to move forward, I’ll send over my standard agreement. We’ll confirm our meeting schedule and clarify the services that best support your needs.
